Had to have all the MMI and driver's door decals on the buttons replaced because they started to peel off or became disfigured. I did receive a letter in November about the possibility of ignition coil problems, but so far no concern with my car. Last winter I went through a 6 week period of the MIL light coming on, but no lack of performance. In that 6 week time frame we had extreme temps from -53 to +52, and then back to the -40's. By the time the EERO shop got it in April, they could not reproduce this problem, and the only item stored in memory was low tire pressure. I had to have some sticking function buttons cleaned, and they may replace 1 this spring. The front passenger seat plastic assembly that covers the buttons was ordered in April, did no arrive timely, but it turned out to be unnecessary when the car was serviced in the fall. Only the retainer clips need to be replaced. The only disappointment is that the integrity of the 2 front seats seems to be in questions, as neither offers the same level of support and bolster as when new. Also, few mileage has decreased by 10-12%, with local mpg dropping from 24 to 22, and highway from 28.5 to 26, despite using Techron and/or Chevron Supreme. I drive mostly at 62mph (100kmh) that turns just 2000 rpm. I may look at replacing the vehicle in October 2010 with an Audi S4. |
| Audi | A6 Avant | 2006 | Dave S. | NORRISTOWN, PA | 06/04/09 | 1.00 | -Deleivered with flaw in back window, replaced -All audio disappeared and unusual readout through navigation system, two MMI modules replaced -Condensation in brake light lense, improperly installed gasket, fixed -One front, one rear shock absorber have an obnoxious, loud squishy squeak, replaced front under warranty, the rear still squeaks to this day when cold -Wood steering wheel cracked on a cold morning when I put my warm hand on it, didn't even bother to go to Audi with this issue -The navigation screen and small center screen occassionally blink on and off, Audi reinstalled software yet the problem continues -Adaptive Cruise Control stopped working and is still an unresolved issue, Audi tried to blame this on my driving and when I pushed back, no external cause was found. They supposedly calibrated the system and when I picked it up I drove 0.4 miles before it stopped working again. |
