The car is beautiful and has been maintained/serviced regularly, yet it is constantly needing repairs that result in large bills. Since this was a leased car/GM certified that I bought in 2008, I am baffled. I have only put 26,ooo
miles on the care since I bought it. It only has 58,000 total miles !! In Nov. I had a $2000 repair bill ( timing chain for one) and just 2200 miles later, I am looking at another $1500. Cadillac just says, because the car is 6 years old, it's not their problem. HMM, how's that for bad customer service ???

I would like to report a problem I am experiencing with my 2006 Cadillac CTS. My vehicle currently has 39,934 miles and I began experiencing engine problems. The car began to hesitate at low speeds and began making a grinding noise
and I thought for sure I was having transmission problems. I took my car to Patrick Cadillac in Schaumburg Illinois to find out that my vehicle had burned off over 5 quarts of oil since my last oil change. When I asked why there was no indicator for this problem I was told and I quote these engines are notorious for burning oil. I asked why I did not get a low oil indicator light and was told and
I quote there is no warning for this. My oil pressure gauge light did not even come on and was told because I still have 3 quarts of oil it would not. How can this be when the engine was 5 quarts low? You could not believe my shock to find out that a car that comes with such a high sticker price would NOT have a warning for this problem. Instead I could have destroyed my engine. If this engine is
NOTORIUS for burning oil why hasnt the problem been looked at? Why would you not then put in a low oil indicator? How can this be? I was told by the dealership that this was my fault for not checking my oil properly. Even if I let the oil change go beyond the time for me to change it, I use synthetic oil and change it every 6,000 miles, I would have never thought it was burning the oil off with
such low miles and no indication of it. So if the engine had been destroyed by this problem GM would be blaming me for not checking my oil? Who would have known with NO INDICATION of low oil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I will be subject to bringing my car to the dealership every 1,000 miles so they can check my oil levels and further investigate this problem. With such low miles how can this
be? This is my third Cadillac and believe me will be my last. My previous 2 Eldorados burned oil but after 70,000 miles. Can someone explain

I purchased a used CTS with the 3.6L Engine. The car is used with 14K miles on it and just a gorgeous vehicle. But it burns oil, from one quart to 1 1/2 every 1,000 miles. Cadillac says, "that up to a quart every 1,000 miles is
acceptable". They are monitoring the oil use, potetial problem areas are valve stem seals and piston rings. After my investigation I've found that this is a common problem on many GM cars including new; Corvettes, Camaros, Escalades, CTS, etc. Seems mainly to be the 3.6L and some V8's. One service manager said it's in common in the new "low friction engines".

My transmission cooler went out, car overheated, towed to Cadillac Dealer in Fullerton, CA. Told us the radiator is contaminated, and transmission also and all need replaced. There was a service bulletin out on this yet Cadillac
refuses to assist with the $6,700.00 bill to get the work done.

I was parking my car with my foot on the brake when it suddenly lurched forward and I hit a building. My foot was still on the brake. The airbags deployed breaking the windshield. There were no injuries, but I went over the low
concrete barrier, across a sidewalk and hit a brick building. If someone were on the sidewalk, I hate to think what could have happened. Up to this point, I loved my car and wanted to buy another. I notified NYS and they said there wee no other comState agency.

I STEPPED DOWN FROM A LIVERY EQUIPPED 04' DEVILLE. THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE IN THE RIDE. THE CAR'S SUSPENSION IS VERY ROUGH AND NOISY EXPECIALLY WHEN TURNING CORNERS. THE LOW FUEL WARNING DOES NOT ALERT YOU WHEN THE FUEL IS

nice comfortable ride. motor work can just about classify the car as a lemon. Do not recommend purchasing this car. Had the car in the shop twice for rear end differential. Customer service is poor with GM. Goodwill offer sucks for
losses you incur with this car.
