This Cruze is in the top 5 for value. Bought it for under $20,000 and it is fully equipped, remote start, back up warning, and a lot more. Would buy another Cruze. (If I live that long.) |

This car is absolute junk and the dealership (as kind and courteous as they are) do not have the ability to repair it or make it safe. Between my airbag light indicating "off" with me in the passenger seat, the extreme smell of antifreeze, and the lag in the transmission this is the most dangerous vehicle I have ever owned or possibly even ridden in. I bought it because of all of the safety features. Joke was on me. |

I have had 3 recalls & 4 different service engine soon light that All had to have something replaced...ALL within a 6 month time frame. On 1...my entire intake manifold had to be replaced & it still shifts very HARD on inclines. It has always shifted very hard. When on inclines it somethings gets up to 5-6 on RPM's before it will shift. sometimes you have to 'let-off' the gas then re-accellerate before it will shift. I have NEVER got the gas mileage that this car is supposed to get. The most, on an all freeway trip was 32mpg. I avg. 28 mpg. When I last took my vehicle to the dealers...they told me that I had 'too many' miles to claim lemon law , but not enough miles to get GM/CHEV. to 'allow' some money back towards a trade. Stated that GM wouldn't do this until after the initial 36,000 miles. Well...I'm almost there!!! |

The antifreeze smell is absolutely nauseating, it has been to the dealer numerous times with many parts replaced to fix the problem, although the smell persists. I hate the way the car rolls back from a stop on an incline before it goes forward, I'm sure one day I'll roll back into another car. I also hate that it hits 6000 RPM's when accelerating onto the highway with an inclining acceleration ramp. Gas mileage is also overexaggerated. The blue tooth feature has such a bad echo I won't even use it. I will never buy another Chevy product. After America bailed out Chevrolet you'd think the people buying their product would be listened to and taken care of. Chevy needs to fess up and buy back this car. |

Three times one vehicle parked at my business has had Rabitts chew through the main electircs and disable my car. My neighbor had the same problem at his work. Each of us paid $3-400.00 to fix. Chevy will not help and denys new wiring made of a soy based product. Anyone else have issues with Rabbits or Rodents and wiring?? |

"Excessive gas consumption also "Flat Spot" on take off and re accelaration in traffic this is a very well know matter with GM but playing denial. GM advertising Sheet for Fuel Consumption HWY-5.6L./100km-50mi./gal Reality HWY 36mi.gal @ 100km/hr. I should of check on the Internet the comments gallery. Definitaly would not purchase this car. From what I have been reading on all the sites the problems with the above issues are with the automatic. The standard gives better performance,gas mileage,no delay on the throttle. There is often a buzzing sound trough the sound system, especially with a passenger sitting in the front passenger seat. This could be related to the passenger airbag sensor switch. 2. The fuel milage I get is consistantly 3-5 the mpg less than what the on board system says. While the fuel milage is good it has not yet hit the 42mpg GM advertises. Figure your MPG by hand and see how different it is from the onboard computer. 3. Over the past 3 weeks I have noticed an inability to get enough fuel to keep from stalling in 1st gear when starting out from a stop. It has stalled numerous times it always starts right back up after stalling with no fuel problem. This would possibly suggest a computerized fuel control problem which gets reset when the car is stalled and has to be restarted with the ignition. |

Very smooth shifting trans and comfortable ride. 8/14/11 Update: Now have 7400 miles and overall average mpg has gone up to 44.3 with as much as 48 mpg on a single tank-full. Only complaint I have is that I don't care for the location and the limited ability to adjust the air direction of the air vents. |

You cannot fit 3 kids comfortably if there is a carseat in the back, therefore the two other passangers fit very snug. Also the max weight allowed in the car is 880 lbs. This is not acceptable with the obesete ratio in the U.S.A this needs to be reconsidered. |
