It is very difficult to believe that Lincoln could sell any of these cars 12 years ago and charge around $40,000.00 each for them! The small things that fail (outer door handle, heater blend door motor, the ridiculous HID
headlamps, etc.) and the major things that fail (the air ride system, the front suspension control arms, ALL the suspension bushings, the motorized tilt and telescoping steering wheel, etc) make these cars a constant concern to keep in good running order. The engine is truly a fine piece of equipment, great mileage, wonderful power, and they LAST! But the transmission is a mushbox, the suspension
is far better when converted to conventional coils, and the Sylvaania company does not even produce the headlamp bulbs that fit the headlamp assembly that SYLVANIA made for these cars! You have to buy NOS, or used but you will be set back around $200.00 per low beam bulb!!!!
