My wife an I bought our 2006 MPV ES used in 2007 from Hertz sales in San Jose. It's been a very good car overall. The only issues come from the check engine light would go off because of the gas cap fitting or some emission leakage
issue. The van is too new for a lot of repair garages to decode the numbers properly from the car report. They always say, "take it to Mazda." |

Vibration at 65 MPH. Reported within 1 month of purchase. We were told it was type of tire and nothing could be done. Complained every oil change, at 30,000 miles we were told the tires were warbling and had to be replaced. The
DEAL they gave us was new tires @ $130.00 per tire and if balancing and alignment needed we have to pay for that. Very unhappy with O"hara Mazda in Fairhaven, MA. I feel we were not told the truth until to late to get a decent resolution. |

Blue Ridge Mazda in Raytown Mo. is where I purchased my 2005 MPV. I bought and extended warranty, it ended and now I am having major problems error codes 3030 & 3034. The Blue Ridge service dept and dealership is owned by one
person. The service department is terrible, they up charge you and do not provide the full quote and then claim to do work. I had to stop payment on a check to resolve a $500 over charge. I would never reccommend them. |

I have 2005 MPV - the first few years were excellent - however - getting the vehicle serviced through Mazda was horrible - and finally - I started paying for repairs on my own - thousands of dollars later and the SAME problem OVER
and OVER again - the Van still is NOT repaired. Mazda definitely has a Mechanical issue - I think should be recalled and repaired at their expense! |

Based on my experience with other cars I've owned such as Toyota Paseo and Tercel and Honda Accord and CRV, my Mazda MPV has the worse quality and service. I've had problems with it's power sliding doors and engine. Cost of
ownership due to expensive maintenance costs is higher with the Mazda so don't get fooled by the initial lower sticker price. I've had Mazda's service departments charge me for supposed warranty repair service and the 2 Mazda service departments I've dealt with provided poor service due issues found after picking up car. |

I love my van. I've only had a few problems and dealing with the dealer has been a nightmare. I had to replace my #6 after a scarry jerking, and then my fan relay went bad. Turns out the same relay is on another Mazda car and was
recalled, but they are not recalling it on the '05 mpv. I fought with them and got it replaced at thier cost anyways. |

Bought car because of high reputation for reliability. At 24 kmiles, engine missed. Took 6 days to replace 3 distributor caps. At 30k miles, engine missed. Took 3 days to replace remaining 3 distributor caps, At 49k miles eigine is
missing again. Cost $730 to replace 3 distributor caps (same ones replaced at 24k miles). Mazda refused to rebate any of $730. |

Bought this Minivan new 2002. Now has almost 7 years and 70k miles. No problems at all. Interior is still solid, engine runs smooth. Has 3.0L engine made by Ford that is quite good on gas for a van this size. Only complaints are:
hard to find service manual for car and expensive spark plug change. Prevention is key Trans fluid, plugs, coolant change every 40k mi. Oil change every 3.3k mi. |

Van has been ok mechanically, but the electrical, especially the window failures are enough to make me question the quality of the Mazda design and workmanship. Further, Mazda's unwillingness to address the issue shows they aren't

I have had major problems with this car since it was two years old. As my daughter says everything under the hood is new. Now even the motor is new. o2 sensors,3 catalytic convertors, sparkplugs galore,wires to numerous to mention,
