i seem to have issues with my mazda and always get the run around on parts and service. the labor alone at mazda dealerss 95 bucks an hour. Plus i believe that when the car is sold to a new person they should recieve a list of
recalls. Im thinking of selling my mazda because noone even mazda dealers are certified and know what the hell there doing. They just guess???? |

My complaint on this vehicle is the recall parts on the engine and the constant flooding engine problems on the car.I've taken the car in for all recall parts and still have a issue with the engine not wanting to start; or a issue
with engine flooding which will cause the car not to turn over!My problems with this vehicle is the same time and time again with not starting due too a flood engine issue.I think this 05-06 model's are poorly manufactured engines, and may be the reason for all the recalls being done for this model. If you own a model for 05-06 be careful you may have a lemon on hand. |

this car is a pleasure to drive and own. I bought an exotic, sporty car with style and luxury trim, for the price of a honda. and there aren't many of these rides on the roads, because people are stupid and have bad
taste! |

I recently went to use my sunvisor to keep the sun out of my eyes and when I pulled it down it broke in half. Unbelievable! Since I'm not hard on things it didn't make sense to me why this would happen. I later looked at the visor
on the passenger side and noticed it too, is a piece of crap. It's cracked in the seam and will probably break in half soon just the the driver side. I'm wondering if there's a recall on these things. |

So far and excellent car, needs to live in the 4000 to 5000 rev band to be ready to go, which obviously kicks in at 5500. Super car for family. |

Low power: Mazda dealer said i needed $8500 worth of work on engine for low power. After research i found that the 2004 rx8 had bad coil packs in that the internal part of the coil would ground out on the housing of the coil it
self.My rx8 has 70000 on it and my guess is when i put the tune up kit on it the car will run just like before.Im afraid mazda is graded poor on comunication or is it mindful deception?. |

I love my car, but it has a few Issues, 1) It take for ever for the heat to get hot, and sometime it does'nt was told by Mazda Service it could be Heather Coor. 2) Now Im having problems with the cars power outside Mechanic says
its the Clutch. Now I need to take to Mazda Service to check it out $ they tell me It's a $100.00 to look at it, and goes toward the repairs. I need to find out if this is covered un warrenty, I have had the car just 4 years with 60,000 miles. Mazda RX8 |

Very nice sports sedan with good power and great handling. Comfortable seats and well laid out cockpit. Nice sound system. Rear seats are something of a joke. Small opening to get items in an out of trunk. Paint seems to chip
fairly easily. No spare tire. Poor mileage. |

Had to replace engine after stalling 4 times because of cold start problem. Engine ruined and Mazda Warrantied it. Still have issues with sloppy transmission as well as shakes badly due to probably bad motor mounts. Expensive to
maintain, fun when running well but a very jerky ride. |

First time in over 5 years that I've owned this car, I go to start it and it won't turn over. Had towed to dealer and turns out that it was "flooded". Flooded? Never experienced this one. Dealer had 3 other RX-8's up on jacks in
the shop with the same issue. Time for a trade in! I have just reached 30K miles and it looks like the problems are beginning to rear their ugly head. Mazda makes great vehicles, but this one is not on the top of its list. |

This car has been a nightmare. I had the engine replaced at 11,000 miles. And then had to take it back 4 more times after that to get it right. Then the heater went out. My dealer has been great, but the car is not
dependable. |

Replaced motor approx 45K miles. Told me it would take 2 days....Took 2 wks, for dealer to get it right (wouldn't idle/died at stopping). Heater control won't work properly. Ice cold air when fully selecting warm air. Dealer wants
700 dollars to tear out dash to 'find' the problem (and that's with Mazda 'helping-out'/discount as a 'courtesy' ). This car has more quirks, recalls, campaigns, bulletins, and bullshit to put up with than any car I have ever owned in 40 years. Still under 50K miles/7 years old now. Been babied and appropriately exercised thru the gears. Only dealer serviced. It's junk to me. |

Unable to read oil dipstick due to milky-frothy residue. The dipstick appeared to be contaminated with water. The dealership explained that condensation has formed on the dipstick if the vehicle is not driven long enough and hot
enough to evaporate this condensation. This is due in part to the housing of the rotory engine. |
